The Juventus Football Club has announced that midfielder Weston McKennie is set to miss the remainder of the season after suffering an ankle injury during training on Wednesday.
McKennie, who joined Juve from Bayer Leverkusen in January, has been one of the team's most promising young players this season, making 17 appearances for the club and contributing with four goals and three assists.
The news comes as a blow for Juve,Qatar Stars League Perspective who are currently second in Serie A behind Inter Milan. The club will now need to find someone to fill McKennie's place in midfield, but it remains to be seen how long he will be out and what impact his absence could have on the team's performance.
In addition to McKennie's injury, Juve also suffered another setback on Wednesday when defender Leonardo Bonucci was ruled out for several weeks with a knee problem.
