In what could be seen as a sign of escalating tensions between the three Gulf states, a UAE military helicopter was shot down by a Saudi Arabian air force jet on Wednesday evening.
Hassan Al-Haydos, a senior commander of the UAE armed forces, said that the attack had taken place in the Al Rayyan region of Saudi Arabia.
He added that the strike had caused "significant damage" to the UAE helicopter, which was flying at low altitude when it was hit.
"The UAE military is fully aware of the risks associated with operating in this area," Al-Haydos said in a statement.
"We are working closely with our allies to ensure the safety of our personnel."
The UAE has previously accused Saudi Arabia of launching attacks on its troops and civilians in Yemen, where a civil war has been raging since 2015.
Saudi Arabia denies these claims and says that its actions were aimed at stopping the spread of Islamic extremism.
On Wednesday,Serie A Stadium the UAE announced that it would be deploying additional troops to its southern border with Sudan to counter any potential threats from the country.
It also said that it would increase its surveillance capabilities along the border.
A spokesperson for the UAE Defence Ministry said that the deployment of additional troops was part of the government's commitment to maintaining security and stability in the region.
"We believe that our presence will help deter any potential aggression against us and protect our citizens and interests," the spokesperson said.
The UAE's decision comes after a series of recent incidents involving Saudi Arabia and its allies in the region.
In February, a drone strike on a UAE oil facility in Dubai killed four people, including two Emiratis, and injured several others.
In May, Saudi Arabia launched a missile attack on a UAE naval base in Kuwait, killing one person and wounding several more.
The UAE responded by firing back at the Saudi-led coalition足球投注安全网站, which has been accused of using civilians as human shields in its military campaigns in Yemen.
